The Garage was founded September 30, 2009 by Mike Keller. His love for cars prompted him to start his own garage. Mike got his state inspections license and state emissions license. This started the first phase of The Garage, where Mike does inspections and emissions, oil changes and brake jobs.
Mike became mesmorized by Hot Rods after seeing the movie “American Graffiti” when he was 11 years old. He bought his first car, a 1971 Pontiac LeMans Sport, before he could even drive at 15 years old. Mike put his heart and soul into the car by doing engine upgrades and paint.
Next, Mike bought a 1969 Chevelle, challenging him to continue his passion for Hot Rods. He ventured into drag racing the Chevelle. From that he made the car into what it is today. His interest in Hot Rods and cars in general gave him the idea to start the second phase of The Garage, The Speed Shop.
While contemplating opening The Speed Shop, Mike decided to buy a theme car to promote his business and purchased a '55 Chevy. He also wants to follow his dream to own both the Duece Coupe and the '55 Chevy from his favorite movie, “American Graffiti”.
Mike is an Atech Motorsports, VSIhp, Auto Gear Engineering, Randy's Ring & Pinion, Mickey Thompson Tire and Wheel dealer; he sells Rocket Racing Wheels and almost anything else you may need to restore a car.
